We stand together as a community in solidarity with everyone in Berlin

It is with immense sadness that we learned about the incident which took place at Berlin Pride which has led to the loss of life and deep harm.

Simon Blake, Chief Executive of Stonewall said:

The LGBTQ+ community and everyone that loves us are heartbroken at the attack on Berlin Pride. Our thoughts are with everyone that has been affected by this horrific event. 

Pride Events take place around the world. They are both a celebration of equality, visibility and love as well as a protest about the change needed to bring about full equality for lesbians, gay, bi, trans and queer+ people.

Hate and violence are always unacceptable. We stand together as a community in solidarity with everyone in Berlin, the Pride Movement and everyone in the LGBTQ+ community.'
