Stonewall responds to the Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidance

A Stonewall spokesperson said:
The Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidance needs to ensure that the safety and wellbeing of all young people is at its heart. We’ll be reviewing the draft guidance carefully and will respond to the consultation in due course.
Many in the LGBTQ+ community, especially trans people, are increasingly feeling their voices are not heard. Young people who are questioning their gender should feel safe and supported at school; and the final statutory guidance, through the consultation, needs to listen to, and reflect their experiences.
