In 2026, LGBTQ+ people are being told there is something wrong with who they are, and attempts to change their sexual orientation or gender identity remain legal.
The Government published a draft Bill to ban conversion practices in June 2026, and the Bill is currently being scrutinised by Parliament. We want to ensure a robust Bill is passed, and that it delivers strong protections for the LGBTQ+ community.
Write to your MP and ask them to keep the promises made in party manifestos to protect LGBTQ+ people. They must ensure the safe progress of the bill and the delivery of a strong ban that protects everyone.
