Improve your English, maths and IT skills

Free Courses with OpenLearn from The Open University

The free OpenLearn courses can increase your confidence and develop the skills needed you need to enter Higher Education. You can work at your own pace, and there are around 1000 courses to choose from! Subjects include: Nature & Environment, Languages, Sports & Psychology, Science, Maths & Technology, History, and the Arts.  

Discover Uni

Discover Uni lets you compare university courses by subject and location, as well as giving guidance on choosing your course, applying, and going to university. It includes students’ views taken from national surveys, employability and earnings, and data collected from universities and colleges.

Uni4Me has articles, guides, and activities on everything to do with higher education, coming straight from universities and experts so you can explore what you find interesting and get the help you need.

Uni can be a difficult place for LGBTQ+ young people, so Student Minds have created this resource for students on finding specified support for the challenges you’re facing and tips on coming out, addressing discrimination, and supporting LGBTQ+ friends.
