Digital Empowerment Workshops

At Stonewall, the safety of our staff and the people we support and work with always comes first.

For this reason, we are not currently running any of our usual face-to-face Empowerment programmes or events. However, we have developed an exciting new suite of introductory Digital Empowerment Workshops.

Our selection of workshops will help you build strong foundations for your organisation. They provide a valuable opportunity to engage and educate all staff. For those leading on LGBT inclusion, they'll provide practical insights to develop an action plan that works for your organisation.

At the moment we are offering the following digital workshops:

Introductory Workshops

  • First Steps to LGBT Inclusion

  • First Steps to Trans Inclusion

  • First Steps to Bi Inclusion

  • Introduction to Allyship

  • Championing LGBT Inclusion as a senior leader

Advanced workshops

  • Delivering LGBT-inclusive services

  • Procurement: Embedding LGBT-inclusive services

  • Being a better ally to LGBT People of Colour

  • LGBT+ Mental Health: Supporting your colleagues

For more information about the content of these workshops please click here.

Module Delivery

Sessions will be delivered online by a trained Stonewall facilitator. Sessions are usually delivered on Zoom for up to 50 staff members*. Some sessions use other tools such as Mural and Sli.do to engage participants. We can be flexible on the platforms we use and will work with you to deliver in a way that mirrors your systems where possible and works for your staff.

*Except for Championing LGBT inclusion as a senior leader which is limited to 12

Who can attend?

Our Empowerment Workshops are designed for all staff, but particularly useful for those working closely on LGBT inclusion, senior champions and LGBT network groups.

We want to hear from professionals from a range of workplaces. We encourage diversity across our programmes, in terms of ethnic backgrounds, people of faith, disabled people and women – and those at the intersections of these identities.

In-house Digital Workshops

We offer in-house programmes for groups of staff from an organisation. Email empowerment@stonewall.org.uk to book now or find out more information.

Open Digital Workshops

We are still working on launching these workshops as open programmes, where individuals from lots of different organisations can attend.
