What you can do

Fundraise at work

As an individual, as a group or as part of a network, stand up and show up for LGBTQ+ rights by supporting Stonewall in your workplace.

As we approach the 50th anniversary of the first London Pride, we’d like to promote three activities to help you celebrate this year. From holding coffee-and-cake mornings to taking on a physical challenge in July – there’s something to suit everyone.

Payroll Giving

Payroll Giving is one of the easiest ways to support Stonewall and our work.

And because donations are taken from salaries before tax, it’s an effective way for people to donate more for less. We’ve put together a table to help explain how it works.

Signing up to a payroll giving scheme is easy for employers too. You just need to be signed up with a Payroll Giving Agency (PGA), who will manage the deductions from your employees' salaries and then make payments on your behalf to Stonewall. Your HR or payroll team should know if you’re set up for payroll giving.

If your organisation already has a payroll giving scheme, your employees can sign up to donate to Stonewall via this link.

If you’re not signed up with a PGA and need some help, our partners at Payroll Giving in Action will be happy to help you get started. Simply email Sarah Clements by clicking this link.

Equali-Tea Pride Celebration

If socialising is more your thing, why not host an Equali-Tea Pride Celebration? Coffee mornings and tea parties are a great way to get people together and can be held in many different locations.

We can help you decorate your space with our Equali-Tea balloons, and we’ll send you some DIY collection boxes to help you fundraise. We’ve even got a rainbow cup cake recipe we can send you if you’re feeling adventurous.

And don’t forget, people love to get involved … once you’ve set your date and location, why not ask people to bake or bring something along to share? To receive your Equali-Tea pack please email your name and address to our team

Don’t forget to set out prices for cakes and drinks. Or why not charge one price for an all-you-can-eat buffet – it’s up to you!

To make your fundraising super easy – simply create a Just Giving page, link it to Stonewall and ask your Equali-Tea guests to donate. Just Giving pages are also easy to share on social media and email, create yours today!

Pride 50 Challenge

If physical challenges are more your thing, then why not take on our Pride 50 Challenge? Stonewall will be running an online challenge throughout July.

To celebrate 50 years of Pride, you could walk, jog or run 50 miles in July. Or maybe 50 squats, lunges or push-ups per day is more your thing … the Pride 50 Challenge is all about pushing yourself, having fun and raising money to support Stonewall's work and celebrate Pride.

To help participants get ready for Pride season, we’ll send everyone a themed pack, containing a pair of our Rainbow Laces, rainbow sweatbands and rainbow face paint.

We’ll also be on hand with support in a closed Facebook group and will provide easy to use tools to set up fundraising page through Facebook or Just Giving.

For more information on our Pride 50 Challenge, or to sign up, please contact our team.
