Director of People and Development
Working with my team and leaders, managers and staff networks across Stonewall, I lead the work we do internally to support and empower our colleagues to be brilliant and bring our commitment to inclusion and belonging to life, ultimately creating an environment where our colleagues can thrive and confidently work towards creating a world where we have true equity for all LGBTQ+ communities. This means ensuring that we have the right culture, policies and ways of working in place to enable this. My teams cover all aspects of HR, volunteering, internal comms and engagement, and facilities, ensuring that we adopt a people-centered approach in all we do.
Before joining Stonewall, I worked in HR in the retail sector for 12 years, before moving to the third sector in 2014. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of leading and working with talented and diverse teams to create positive change at work and beyond.
Outside work, I love music, whether it’s listening to music, singing (badly!) or playing the flute. When I was younger, I played as part of my borough’s local youth orchestra and also played as part of a jazz band. These days, I leave the performing to others who are far more talented than me and love nothing more than attending festivals and concerts.
