Primary School Champions programme
Attending one of our courses gives your primary school membership of the Stonewall School Champions programme for a year. This includes ongoing support, resources, guidance and much more.
Why does it matter?
- 45% of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and trans young people have experienced homophobic, biphobic or transphobic bullying
- More than eight in ten primary teachers have never had any specific training in how to tackle homophobic bullying.
- One in three trans pupils are not able to be known by their preferred name at school
- 64% of trans pupils are bullied at school for being trans

School Champions based in England are able to apply for our School Champion Awards once you’ve been a member for a year. Available at Bronze, Silver and Gold level, our Awards benchmark your work and help you stretch to meet new challenges.
