Michele 'Mitch' Oliver (she/her) is Vice Chair of Stonewall and Global Purpose/ Marketing VP at Mars Incorporated.
With over 25 years’ experience in the consumer-goods industry, Mitch joined Mars, a private and family-owned company, on the graduate program. Since then she has held a variety of roles across the business before moving into marketing and strategy leadership positions at a local, regional and global level, she has led large teams of over 100 Associates and sat on the Board of the UK business for a number of years. Mitch has held her current Global Vice President role at Mars since April 2018.
Mitch is a passionate supporter of diversity in business. As well as being Vice Chair/ Trustee of Stonewall since 2018, she is Deputy Vice Chair of the Unstereotype Alliance (part of UN Women) and a Commissioner on the Law Family Commission on Civil Society. She has been a NED of The Marketing Society and a member of Government /Business Leaders Group for Disability Confident.
Michele is passionate & active in the industry in championing the positive impact business can have on society - from sustainability to D&I. She is a regular speaker at industry events to show the business case for purpose with a particular focus on inclusion and diversity. She is a judge at Cannes for the Sustainable Development Goals Lions.
She has been named Marketer of the Year by The Drum, Leader of the Year by The Marketing Society and Top 20 Women to Watch in Europe by Adage.
She a proud mum and step mum to 4 children and one dog. She likes to run to offset her other loves – cheese and chocolate.
