We’re the UK’s largest charity campaigning for equality for lesbian, gay, bi and trans (LGBT) people here and around the world.
As Head of Trans Inclusion, you would be a part of our Campaigns Policy and Research (CPR) Team, who – through research and community engagement – build Stonewall’s understanding of the inequality that still affects the lives of LGBT people in Britain. And by using that knowledge, we campaign to make positive change, so that all lesbian, gay, bi and trans people know they’re not alone.
Your role will be to deliver our strategy for trans equality, Vision for Change. Written by our Trans Advisory Group, it’s based on our shared mission: that trans people have the right to live full and authentic lives at work, home and in public.
This will include leading our ambitious programmes work, to change the way that trans people experience public services and improve equality in the healthcare and criminal justice systems. And you’ll make sure that all of our campaigns and activities are informed by the voices and experiences of trans people.
You will hold a strong understanding of trans equality, with proven experience of working in a policy, parliamentary, legal or campaigns-related environment. You’ll be a strong public speaker, with experience of being a spokesperson for your organisation.
