Role description

For the last thirty years, Stonewall has been working to achieve equality for lesbian, gay, bi and trans people. As a charity we rely on the generosity of private individuals, communities and organisations. Without it, none of what we do would be possible. Join us as our Community and Participation Events Manager and lead on providing excellent and efficient supporter care and stewardship to our amazing donors.

Reporting to the Head of Supporter Fundraising you’ll focus on reaching and developing untapped opportunities for community engagement, fundraising and challenge event activities. You will be involved in all aspects of these activities supporting in their promotion, management and development. As the Community and Participation Events Manager you will be responsible for achieving an agreed annual income target and the strategic objectives of this role to expand participation across a wider audience and ensure the charities continued growth.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop your skillset and step up as an ally and role model. It’s a varied role in a dynamic environment so you’ll need to be fully up to speed with the principles of community and challenge event fundraising to hit the ground running, and have the communication skills to be as engaging and effective in email and marketing literature as you are in person at our events. Experienced in data management and with good numeracy skills, you’ll have a flexible, can do approach and plenty of confidence to work on your own initiative and develop, train and manage the Community and Challenge Events Officer.
