Associate Director of Communications and Campaigns

Job Description

Do you want to inspire and motivate communities to fight for the rights of lesbian, gay, bi and trans people?

For the last thirty years, Stonewall has been working to achieve equality for lesbian, gay, bi and trans people. As a charity we rely on powerful communications and campaigns to drive change and inspire a movement of individuals, communities and organisations to take action and support our communities. Join us as our Associate Director of Communications and Campaigns to lead this high profile work.

Reporting to the Director of Communication and External Affairs you’ll focus on engaging and mobilising our audiences through our communications to achieve a world where LGBT+ people are free, treated fairly and able to achieve our potential. You will be a key member of Stonewall’s leadership team and the leadership of our Communications and External Affairs division. Leading our Communications and Campaigns function you will be responsible for setting our communications and campaigns strategy, developing and delivering an integrated communications and campaigns programme, and developing our marketing approach.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop your skillset and step up as an ally and role model. It’s a varied role in a dynamic and often hostile external environment so you’ll need to be confident in leading a broad range of communications approaches and have strong judgement to support Stonewall’s message in response to a wide variety of complex and contentious issues.
