For the last thirty years, Stonewall has been working to achieve equality for lesbian, gay, bi and trans people. As a charity we rely on the generosity of private individuals, communities and organisations. Without it, none of what we do would be possible. Join us as our Ambassador Manager and you’ll have the opportunity to support our work with our top donors and Development Board alongside the Director of Fundraising, by generating cultivation plans and proposals and also work closely with the Head of Events and Ambassadors to manage the Ambassador programme – Stonewall’s mid-level giving programme aimed at supporters giving at or above £1800 per year.

The role sits within the Ambassador team and reports directly to the Head of Events and Ambassador and has a team income target of £490,000. You will be operationally responsible for a key area of our fundraising strategy, growing the number of Ambassadors at Stonewall and transforming the programme into a true giving club whilst supporting the growth of our Major Donor programme.

You’ll be responsible for building relationships with our existing Ambassadors and look to identify and bring on new Ambassador prospects expanding the programme and combatting attrition. In this role you’ll manage an annual programme of stewardship for existing Ambassadors, including regular contact via phone and email. You’ll also manage a programme of annual cultivation events, including our annual Festive Reception, Top Tier Dinner, and various campaign briefings and other events relevant to our work and the Ambassadors’ interests.

We are seeking a talented and experienced fundraiser to manage and grow Stonewall’s Ambassador Programme and income via regular giving and one-off donations as well as by generating gifts from donors and prospects. You’ll have one direct report and the opportunity to shape the programme which is due for development making this is the perfect moment to join Stonewall’s Fundraising team and support our vital work towards acceptance without exception for LGBT people in the UK and abroad. This is an exciting opportunity for any fundraiser looking to expand their experience of managing either low or mid-level regular giving programmes, alongside gaining or developing experience of working with Development Boards and Major Donors.
