Creating a trans inclusive setting

This course gives teachers the confidence to support a trans young person in school or college, including ideas for best practice  in line with school and colleges' legal requirements. Participating schools become members of our School & College Champions programme.

Course objectives

  • Develop the confidence, skills and knowledge to train their colleagues on tackling transphobic bullying and creating a trans-inclusive school or college
  • Gain an overview of the current experiences of young trans people in school and their impact on student achievement
  • Find out how to meet your legal requirements under the Equality Act 2010 and the inspection framework in your country.
