The Stonewall Equality Dinner, kindly supported by Aviva, took place on Friday 16 March 2018.
We were thrilled to welcome 400 guests to the glamourous Sheraton Grand Park Lane. Our host, June Sarpong oversaw the evening’s proceedings, which included a dazzling performance by Britain’s Got Talent winners Collabro.
Speeches came from CEO Ruth Hunt, Olly Alexander (Years and Years), Sheldon Mills (Stonewall trustee) and Benn Moore (Stonewall School Role Model).
Edward Rising was our fabulous auctioneer and top auction prizes on offer included a Dim Sum Master Class and dinner hosted by Gok Wan and two tickets to the Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture Show in Paris, with a meet and greet backstage with the designer himself.
To echo the words of our speaker on the night, Olly Alexander "We don't get equality until we all have equality. We have to listen and learn from each other to lift each other up, so we can all live the life we deserve."
Through the support of our attendees and generous donors, the money we raised together for Stonewall will continue to make a significant and sustainable change to LGBT equality both in Britain and abroad.
