Digital Workshop - Understanding and Reflecting the Experiences of LGBTQ+ People with Disabilities

International Day of People with Disabilities is an important date in December.

There remains a distinct lack of understanding about the experiences of people who are both LGBTQ+ and disabled. This means that many workplaces are not accessible to or cannot retain people because they are not spaces where LGBTQ+ people with disabilities feel genuinely welcomed and included.

This session, held on the week of International Day of People with Disabilities will help you better understand the experiences of LGBTQ+ people with disabilities in order to confidently ensure that your work reflects and celebrates the community.

Join us on 1st December 10:30-12:30 for an interactive workshop and inspiring speaker conversation.

What will I learn?

By attending this session you will:

  • Learn more about the common experiences of LGBTQ+ people with disabilities
  • Understand more about workplace best practice on LGBTQ+ inclusion
  • Share ideas on how to create workplaces that include and celebrate LGBTQ+ people with disabilities

  • All staff looking to learn more about their role in creating a more inclusive organisation
