Course overview

This course gives teachers the confidence to support a trans young person in school or college, including ideas for best practice in line with of the inspection frameworks in England, Scotland and Wales and the Equality Act 2010.

Course objectives

  • Develop the confidence, skills and knowledge to train their colleagues on tackling transphobic bullying and creating a trans-inclusive school or college
  • Gain an overview of the current experiences of young trans people in school and their impact on student achievement
  • Find out how to meet your legal requirements under the Equality Act 2010 and the inspection framework in your country

Courses are delivered by Stonewall and are held around the country throughout the academic year.
