Entering the 2011 Index: criteria and guidance
Workplace Equality Index 2010 results
The Workplace Equality Index is Stonewall's comprehensive annual benchmarking exercise that showcases Britain's top employers for lesbian, gay and bisexual staff.
Free to enter and open to all employers, the Workplace Equality Index attracts hundreds of entries each year. Lesbian, gay and bisexual staff can also participate too, as part of their employer’s entry – and over 7,000 gay staff gave anonymous feedback in the 2010 Index.
'At IBM, we pride ourselves on delivering a working environment which reflects equality of opportunity and experience for all.
Diversity constitutes our character, our identity and ultimately our success – it is in our DNA. When we succeed in diversity, we succeed in business.'
Brendon Riley,
General Manager, IBM Northeast Europe
Stonewall Employer of the year 2010
All organisations can benefit from entering the Workplace Equality Index. If you are new to sexual orientation diversity then completing the Index will help you identify the areas you’ll need to develop. If you’re further along the diversity journey then the Index will help you focus on new areas of good practice.
The results of the Workplace Equality Index will be announced in January 2011. Click here to see the results from the 2010 Index, along with previous years.
