Stonewall's organisational structure

This page highlights the different areas in which Stonewall's volunteers can work.

Organisational structure in London:

Directorate - The Chief Executive has overall responsibility for policy development, day to day management of Stonewall and the effective promotion of the organisation's objectives.

Public Affairs - This team is responsible for policy development, conducting and commissioning research on lesbian, gay and bisexual equality, and building relations with Parliament, political parties, and other external organisations.

Education - The team is responsible for all our work in education around tackling homophobic bullying. The Education department run our Education for All campaign, Education Champions programme and all our work with young people including our Youth Volunteer Programme.

Workplace - Our workplace team run our Diversity Champions programme, which encourages corporations and businesses to address the needs of lesbians, gay men and bisexuals in the workplace.

Fundraising and communications - This team is responsible for raising money in order that Stonewall can operate. Their work includes working with trusts and foundations, encouraging individual donations and the management of major fund-raising events such as the Stonewall Awards, Stonewall Dinner, Brighton Walk and Summer Party. The communications team liaise with the media to put across Stonewall's view and to publicise our work.

Finance and operations - The finance and operations team manager general administration systems, IT support and financial systems.


There are also opportunities with Stonewall Cymru Stonewall Cymru in Cardiff and Penmaenmawr and Stonewall Scotland in Edinburgh.
