Volunteers are needed to staff the phones for our Info Line and offer information and referrals to our service users. As an information volunteer, you will learn a lot about the issues affecting lesbian, gay and bisexual people and you'll receive ongoing supervision and training so you feel informed and supported.
You should have good communication skills and speak fluent English. You should be prepared to commit to a minimum of four hours every fortnight for a minimum of six months. The service opening times are Monday- Friday 9.30am to 5.30pm.
In order to carry out this vital and rewarding role, volunteers receive training, support and supervision. Download an application form or contact Louise Kelly, Information Officer, for further details. Please note we will be running our next training course for volunteers in March 2013, successful applicants will need to attend this course before they can start answering enquiries.
Office volunteers can carry out a range of tasks such as dealing with post, filing, monitoring the press, desk based research, liaising with Stonewall contacts and distributing and assisting in the production of campaign materials. Click here to download the volunteer application form or contact Roy Peterson, Office Manager.
Our volunteers are integrated alongside paid staff across the full range of our activities. We provide induction, training, support, development and hot & cold drinks.

We are fully committed to improving our volunteer policy and procedures and encourage feedback.
