On Sunday 18th July 2010, Stonewall partnered with the Lovebox festival held at Victoria Park in Hackney.

The Sunday event was a new edition to the hugely successful Lovebox Weekender this year and was billed as being a “freewheeling, groundbreaking, no-holds-barred, non stop polysexual party, pulling together elements of the very best gay clubs, fiercest underground parties, cutting edge fashion, hottest emergent artists.”

The line-up included Hot Chip, Cut Copy, Horse Meat Disco and the headline for the day was none other than the fabulous Grace Jones.

Proceeds from the ticket donation and collection on the day went towards supporting Stonewall’s Education for All campaign which aims to combat homophobic bullying in schools.

Announcing the Lovebox and Stonewall partnership, promoter James Bailey explained:

“The Lovebox team passionately believes in celebrating human diversity in all its forms. Our events are about creating a place where everyone feels included. We believe that in Stonewall we’ve found a partner who shares that passion and belief”
