A Gay Old Time

Sunday 15 and Monday 16 March at 8pm.

A Gay Old Time will be a joyously fun and uplifting musical theatre cabaret night with a gay twist, celebrating the work of Stonewall over the last 25 years. Songs from musicals, films and more will be performed by a gloriously talented black tie cast and band on the unique Battersea Barge.

This is a fundraising event, raising money for Stonewall as part of Florence's Yosemite to San Francisco cyling challenge. In June 2015, she will be cycling 404km across California in the baking sunshine! To sponser Flo, check out her JustGiving page.

My Night with Reg

MNWR

Huge thanks to My Night With Reg for raising £795 for Stonewall through their benefit night on Thursday 12 February.

Following its critically-acclaimed sell-out season at the Donmar Warehouse, Kevin Elyot's classic comedy transfers to the Apollo Theatre for 12 weeks only from 17 January.

At Guy's London flat, old friends and new gather to party through the night. This is the summer of 1985, and for Guy and his circle the world is about to change forever. Deliciously funny and bittersweet, My Night with Reg perfectly captures the fragility of friendship, happiness and life itself. On its premiere, Kevin Elyot's comedy won both Olivier and Evening Standard Awards.

The entire original Donmar Warehouse cast of Matt Bardock, Jonathan Broadbent, Richard Cant, Julian Ovenden, Lewis Reeves and Geoffrey Streatfeild reprise their roles for this hotly anticipated West End transfer.

The Trials of Oscar Wilde
‘The truth is rarely pure and never simple’

wilde

We’re so excited that after a successful UK wide tour, ‘The Trials of Oscar Wilde’ is transferring to Trafalgar Studios, London, from 13 October to 8 November 2014.

Most people have seen an Oscar Wilde play but very little is known about his trial for gross indecency or what Wilde said in court. This production of ‘The Trials of Oscar Wilde’ aims to appeal to those who love Wilde’s plays but also to engage with new audiences who are interested in Wilde himself. Written by John O’Connor and Wilde’s own grandson Merlin Holland, this is a play that is well informed and not to be missed.

“…this delightful and historically accurate production transports one back to the sexually discriminatory England of 1895.’ TV BOMB

A huge thank you to the European Arts Company who have helped us raise over £1,200 for Stonewall so far during the run.

Prides and Mardi Gras

prideThe UK’s first Gay Pride march was in July 1972, with just over 700 people marching through London’s streets.

Since then, hundreds of Prides and Mardi Gras have taken place across the whole of the UK in celebration of LGB & T life in all its diversity.

We're currently updating the dates of Prides and Mardi Gras for 2015, so watch this space! If you're interested in having Stonewall at your next event please email events@stonewall.org.uk.

For more details on organising your own event to help us raise vital funds for our work call Rachel Mann, Community Fundraising Officer on 020 7593 3477 or email Rachel.Mann@Stonewall.org.uk.

Stonewall is not responsible for the organisation of these events or for the collection of the money, but we are delighted that such efforts are being made on our behalf.
