The Trials of Oscar Wilde
‘The truth is rarely pure and never simple’

wilde

We’re so excited that after a successful UK wide tour, ‘The Trials of Oscar Wilde’ is transferring to Trafalgar Studios, London, from 13 October to 8 November 2014.

Most people have seen an Oscar Wilde play but very little is known about his trial for gross indecency or what Wilde said in court. This production of ‘The Trials of Oscar Wilde’ aims to appeal to those who love Wilde’s plays but also to engage with new audiences who are interested in Wilde himself. Written by John O’Connor and Wilde’s own grandson Merlin Holland, this is a play that is well informed and not to be missed.

“…this delightful and historically accurate production transports one back to the sexually discriminatory England of 1895.’ TV BOMB

A huge thank you to the European Arts Company who have helped us raise over £1,200 for Stonewall so far during the run.

Prides and Mardi Gras

prideThe UK’s first Gay Pride march was in July 1972, with just over 700 people marching through London’s streets.

Since then, hundreds of Prides and Mardi Gras have taken place across the whole of the UK in celebration of LGB & T life in all its diversity.

We're currently updating the dates of Prides and Mardi Gras for 2015, so watch this space! If you're interested in having Stonewall at your next event please email events@stonewall.org.uk.

For more details on organising your own event to help us raise vital funds for our work call Rachel Mann, Community Fundraising Officer on 020 7593 3477 or email Rachel.Mann@Stonewall.org.uk.
