Ways you can get involved

Get engaged with direct campaigning on our behalf:

  • WRITE to your former school and ask them what they're be doing  to tackle homophobic bullying. If helpful, you can copy our template letter here (download).

  • Alternatively SEND one of our anti-bullying postcards to your former school, asking them what they are doing to tackle homophobic bullying. Email mariaanna.petrou@stonewall.org.uk to order one for FREE today

  • BECOME a school governor at your local school -school governors play a vital role in setting school policy. You can ensure that school policies take a zero-tolerance approach to homophobic bullying. To find out more about how you could become a school governor, click here

  • DISPLAY the pupil-devised slogan to the campaign 'Some People Are Gay. Get Over It!' by ordering any of the materials below and help us spread the word!

  • If you're 16-21, SIGN UP to become a Stonewall Youth Volunteer and work with us to carry out your own campaign to tackle homophobic bullying in your local area. You can find more information here.

  • PRODUCE a three minute film clip against homophobic bullying. Anyone age 16-25 can participate for a chance to win great prizes. For more info, click here.

  • ORDER 'Some People Are Gay. Get Over It!' posters, postcards, or stickers for FREE by emailing education@stonewall.org.uk or order a free travel wallet online here.

School Campaign

Hi, I am a gay teacher who is the campaign representative towards anti-homophobic bullying. We have had some great success especially amongst teachers who really was quite scared to approach the issues. I just want to say thankyou to stonewall for all you are doing because it really helps.

being gay

bulling it happens all the time every where i go there is allways some onethat like haveing a pop at me i just take no notice of them which some times is very hard and right now i live in barnet some them wish me death because i am gay and proud of it and i never give in
