Questions for Candidates

During the election campaign you might be contacted by your local candidate or a political party. You might also attend a local hustings or town hall meeting where your councillor or candidates are speaking.

If you have the opportunity to speak to your candidates then you may want to raise some local issues with them.

LGB issues are vital at all levels of Government and you could use this as an opportunity to raise concerns you may have.

Why not ask your local candidate their views on LGB equality? Will they be supporting the implementation of the Public Sector Duty? How will they protect vital services for LGB people in your area? You could also ask what plans your local authority has to tackle homophobic bullying in schools or hate crime in your neighbourhood.

Do let us know what they say by getting in touch at
