Stonewall's organisational structure

This page highlights the different areas in which Stonewall's volunteers can work.

Organisational structure in London:

Directorate - the Chief Executive with overall responsibility for policy development, day to day management and the effective promotion of the organisation's objectives.

Parliamentary and Public Affairs - responsible for policy development, research and relations with Parliament, political parties, the media and other external organisations. This department also runs our Education for All programme, tackling homophobia and homophobic bullying in schools, and oversees the work of the Diversity Champions programme, which encourages corporations and businesses to address the needs of lesbians, gay men and bisexuals in the workplace. There are several volunteers who work regularly in this department carrying out a variety of tasks.

Fundraising - responsible for raising money in order that Stonewall can operate, including relations with trusts and foundations, encouraging individual donations and management of major fund-raising events.

Operations - management of general administration systems, IT support and financial systems.

There are also opportunities with Stonewall Cymru in Cardiff and the LGB Forum Cymru in Bangor and Stonewall Scotland in Edinburgh.
