Stonewall's Diversity Champions programme is Britain's good practice forum for workplace sexual orientation issues. Top employers work with us and with each other to promote diversity, and improve the workplace for lesbian, gay and bisexual people.
Launched in 2001, the programme brings together over 300 employers at the cutting edge of delivering diversity in business and public services. Now Diversity Champions Scotland is working with 41 major Scottish Employers to ensure that they benefit from diversity in the workplace too.
Members of Diversity Champions Scotland enjoy these key benefits:
Nicol Stephen, Enterprise Minister, launched the Scottish programme in February 2006. Since then, 41 members from the public, private and voluntary sectors, covering over 200,000 employees, have already signed up to the programme. The programme celebrated its first anniversary with a grand recepion on 22 February 2007, kindly sponsored and hosted by Halifax Bank of Scotland at their headquarters at The Mound in Edinburgh.
