Stonewall Scotland currently runs a number of projects designed to give LGBT people a better deal in public services and employment:
Good Practice Project
Stonewall Scotland's Good Practice Project was initiated to help public sector organisations develop and implement good practice with regard to serving LGBT people and to tackle discrimination in public services. For more information, click here.
Fair for All - LGBT
Stonewall Scotland's 'Fair for All - LGBT' project (known to many as the 'Health Inclusion Project') was a partnership with NHS Scotland. The aim of the project was to provide support and evidence to help the health service in Scotland become more accessible and welcoming for LGBT staff and service users, as well as tackling health inequalities and challenging homophobia and transphobia in the NHS.
The project has now ended, and the Equalities and Planning Directorate of NHS Scotland is taking the work forward.
For more information about the project, and downloadable versions of the publications it produced, the legacy site can be found here.
The LGBT Housing Project is a collaboration led by the LGBT Centre for Health & Wellbeing and involving the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations and Stonewall Scotland. Its aim is to tackle homophobic discrimination within housing services and ensure that LGBT service users feel safe in their homes. For more information, click here.
We are always looking for the stories and experiences of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people to inform our campaigning and lobbying work. If you have encountered discrimination or have other experiences that may inform our work, we would like to hear from you. For more information, click here.
