In their recently published election manifestos Scotland’s main political parties pledged action on tackling homophobic bullying in schools, consulting the Scottish public on marriage equality and promoting equal access to public services.
These pledges are welcomed by Stonewall Scotland as a move towards making Scotland a more inclusive society.
The charity also emphasised the importance of all lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender voters making sure their voices are heard on the 5th of May. Claire Murray, Communications Manager said, ‘the parties have made their commitments to equality clear, now it’s important for all of Scotland’s LGBT voters to have their say.’
