Hate Crime bills makes further progress through Parliament

The Offences (Aggravation by Prejudice)(Scotland)Bill has now completed stage two without any amendments.

The Justice Committee considered, and approved, the Bill on April 28th.

On 18 March the Bill, introduced by Patrick Harvie, was debated in Parliament and passed unanimously.

MSPs from all five parties spoke in support of the bill.

Stage 3, when the final bill will be voted on by the whole Parliament, will probably happen in May.
