The Royal Bank of Scotland Group (RBS) is Stonewall Scotland’s most improved employer of 2014. This award recognises the Scottish employer who makes the greatest improvement against the Workplace Equality Index criteria in the previous 12 months. With almost 122,000 employees spread over various locations in the UK, RBS understand the importance of creating an inclusive environment where all of their staff can feel comfortable and excel in their work.
“Being ranked so highly in this year’s Stonewall Index, as well as achieving the position of Scotland’s most improved employer, is a direct result of a huge amount of hard work from colleagues across RBS. Our placing confirms that we’re on the right track and I believe we’ve developed a much better understanding of how we can work with our LGB&T colleagues and customers to create a really good bank for all of us. We now have a strong foundation to work from and are looking forward to partnering Stonewall, in the coming months, to build on this success.”
