Katie Cornhill

Katie is a station manager for Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service where she has worked predominantly in response and fire safety roles for 17 years. This includes a national role with the Chief Fire Officers Association and a secondment to the Fire Service College in Gloucestershire, where she headed up the Prevention, Protection and Safety function. 

Before being fortunate to gain employment with Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service Katie served for 6 years in Her Majesty’s Royal Marines.

Katie is currently the chair of the recently founded UK Fire and Rescue Service LGBT+ staff support network, QUILTBAG.

She has been a keen advocate of Stonewall for a number of years and has enthusiastically supported as a popular role model.
