Stonewall publishes ground-breaking health briefings

Stonewall has published a new series of healthcare guides. The charity’s pioneering research demonstrates that the specific needs of lesbian, gay and bisexual people are often overlooked by healthcare providers. At the same time, many gay people experience hostility, poor treatment or outright discrimination from healthcare professionals.

Each briefing has a specific health focus on a particular area concerning gay people today. The briefings present results and practical recommendations from across Stonewall’s health research for individual issues for the first time. All of the briefings are now available for download from www.stonewall.org.uk/healthbriefings and cover:

• Bisexuality
• Disability
• Domestic Abuse
• Ethnicity
• Experiences of Healthcare
• Mental Health

For a hard copy of any of the briefings call Stonewall’s InfoLine on 08000 50 20 20.
