Rosie Wilby also confirmed for charity’s comedy fundraiser

Susan Calman – the award-winning comedian and star of BBC3’s Dead Boss – has joined the all-female line-up for Stonewall’s Comedy Gala Girls’ Night Out at the Bloomsbury Theatre on 24 September. Jen Brister is MC for the night, introducing comedians including Shappi Khorsandi and Zoe Lyons. Also announced today is comic and broadcaster Rosie Wilby.

Girls’ Night Out supports Stonewall’s Education for All campaign which helps teachers, schools and local authorities tackle and prevent homophobic bullying. Other acts confirmed for the night – which is supported by g3 magazine – include Kerry Godliman, Francesca Martinez, Leisa Rea, Suzi Ruffell and Maureen Younger. More acts will be announced closer to the night.

Stonewall Director of Fundraising Catherine Bosworth said: ‘We’re thrilled to announce Susan and Rosie as part of the Stonewall Comedy Gala Girls’ Night Out. They join a fantastic range of talent all performing for Stonewall, promising a hilarious evening which will help us create a better future for gay young people.’
