Stonewall is pleased to announce the appointment of four new trustees at the beginning of its twentieth anniversary year.
Stonewall Chair David Isaac said: 'We're delighted that an open recruitment process for trustees has enabled us once again to attract highly talented individuals to guide us into the future. Our board now has a strong skill set to help take forward Stonewall's vital work into our third decade.'
The four newly-appointed trustees are:
Director of Runnymede Trust, Chair of the Naz Project and Founding Chair of the Black Gay Men's Advisory Group. Rob is also a primary school chair of governors.
Change Director with Barclays Bank PLC, Jo formerly worked in the retail sector and ran her own business.
Director at Troika Dialog and co-founder of lesbian network CityPink, Anna has two young children.
Group Chief Security Officer at Aviva. Paul was formerly an RAF Wing Commander and has been instrumental in a number of LGB employee network groups.

Notes
1. Stonewall trustee positions were advertised through a range of publications and an e-mail 'cascade' to over 10,000 key contacts. Advertisement followed a 'skills audit' of the current board to identify gaps in expertise and knowledge.
2. Fifty per cent of both Stonewall trustees and staff are women.
3. Stonewall was founded in 1989 as one of the gay community's responses to introduction of Section 28 of the Local Government Act.
