Donate to Stonewall

kobi_israel_largeTo coincide with his upcoming exhibition "Promised Lands", photographer and Stonewall supporter, Kobi Israel has offered to sell and autograph copies of his latest book with all profit going to Stonewall.

"Intimate Strangers" is a vibrant collection of images revealing his exploration of intimacy and the experiences of being a gay ‘foreigner’ in London.

The "Intimate Strangers" project was inspired by the Israeli-born photographer’s move in 2002 to Soho, the heart of London’s cultural and gay community. He began documenting with his camera his personal encounters, capturing the vulnerability and honesty of life’s intimate moments.

His candid, often raw, shots capture the feelings of loneliness, excitement, fear, passion and self-discovery, all aspects of being a foreigner in a big cosmopolitan city. The ‘voyeuristic’ snapshot style hardcover photography book captivates the viewer on 96 pages in an impressive horizontal format.

Kobi has been a generous supporter of Stonewall over the past few years, donating artwork three years in a row for auction, raising more than £14,000 for Stonewall. He also chose Stonewall as his Charity Partner for the launch of "Intimate Strangers".

To order your signed copy of "Intimate Strangers" for £25.00 including postage and packing, please send your name and address, together with the number of books you require, with cheque/PO payable to ‘Stonewall’, or credit/debit card details (card holder name, card number, expiry date and security number) to: Jody West, Stonewall, Tower Building, York Road, London SE1 7NX. You can call Jody on 020 7593 1871 to order with your credit/debit card, or you can pay with PayPal below.
