Flexible hours (ideally 4 hours a week minimum) for 3 months
Key responsibilities
Media monitoring volunteers will develop a bank of media research to challenge negative attitudes towards LGB people in Wales.
- To monitor online press, magazines and newspapers to find stories about LGB people and issues and collect them
- Or to monitor TV channels or radio stations to find programs and stories about LGB people and issues and collect them by means of short summaries of programs
- To identify publications, websites, TV channels and radio stations addressing LGB issues and responding to relevant stories
Skills and competencies
- Good verbal and written communication
- A basic knowledge of LGB issues and the media in Wales
- Basic proficiency in word processing, email and the internet
- Fluent Welsh speaker
- A basic knowledge of the press in Wales would be desirable
