Tackling homophobia requires leadership from teachers, non-teaching staff and the senior management team. This course highlights how you can become a leader in tackling homophobic attitudes that are having a negative effect of pupils’ ability to achieve their potential.
Be able to identify what homophobia looks and sounds like in a school environment.
Understand the legal responsibilities on school to tackle bullying.
Recognise the impact that bullying might have on individuals and the school.
Identify ways to make the school inclusive to lesbian, gay and bisexual students and staff.
