Different Families: How to celebrate diversity in primary schools

Families come in all shapes and sizes. Some children have a mum and a dad, others live with their grandparents and some children have two mums or two dads. This course will look at how you can talk about these ideas in the classroom.

Know how to talk to primary school pupils about different families.

Be able to identify ways to change the curriculum to reflect diversity in families.

Understand how homophobia can impact on families and on children at primary school.

Have an understanding of the wide range of resources available to assist you in the classroom.
