Welsh attitudes to lesbian, gay and bisexual people

Living Together is the first study of its kind to ask people in Wales their views on gay equality and was conducted by YouGov.

Key Findings:

• More than four in five people (83 per cent) believe it is right to tackle prejudice
  against lesbian, gay and bisexual people where they say it exists.
  
  
• Three in five people (62 per cent) support the Westminster Government’s
  commitment to extend the legal form and name of civil marriage to same-sex
  couples.
  
  
• More than four in five people (85 per cent) believe that lesbian, gay and bisexual
  people should be able to be open about their sexual orientation, in any
  circumstances.
  
  
• More than two in three people (68 per cent) think that religious attitudes are
  responsible for public prejudice against lesbian, gay and bisexual people in Wales
  today, where they believe it exists. Sixty two per cent of people of faith agree.
