Stonewall Cymru is looking for volunteers for our new All-Wales Information Service. The service provides individuals and organisations with information relevant to the Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual community in Wales.
As a volunteer, you will be trained to provide relevant information to service users and signpost enquiries to appropriate agencies. Volunteers are required to staff the Information Service phone line and respond to enquiries via email or letter.
Enquiries will likely include issues such as Civil Partnerships, Marriage, Parenting, Hate Crime and discrimination in the workplace. You will also ensure that all information we provide is accurate and up-to-date.
Volunteers will need strong written and verbal communications skills in English and/or Welsh.
The Information Service is open from 9.30am-5.30pm, Monday to Friday, and will be operating from our office in Cardiff. Each volunteer is expected to work a minimum of four hours every fortnight and we ask for an initial commitment of six months. Expenses will be provided.
If you wish to apply for this exciting new opportunity, please contact: Rachael Nicholson, Information Officer on 08000 50 20 20 or via firstname.lastname@example.org. An application can also be download here.
***The Stonewall Cymru Information Service is funded by the Wales Council for Voluntary Action and supported by the Big Lottery Fund.
