Stonewall Cymru, Wales’ leading Lesbian Gay and Bisexual charity, are giving the opportunity for LGB people to ‘Have Their Say’ about their experiences of Community Safety, Education, Health and Social Care, and Housing in Mid, North and South Wales.
Representatives from public services are being asked to report back outcomes on how they have developed in response to the needs of LGB people. These events will be hosted by Stonewall Cymru Diversity Champion Victim Support and the ‘It’s No Joke project’ and will take place on 24th Oct in Llandrindod Wells, 26th October in Wrexham and 11th November in Newport.
Stonewall Cymru’s Director; Andrew White says that “many Welsh lesbian, gay and bisexual people will have a very different experience of public services, not always positive. These events are an opportunity for people to have their voices heard directly and for service providers to report to local LGB people on their work.”
He added “we’re pleased to be able to offer this opportunity, and are really looking forward to hearing what people have to say”
