Stonewall Cymru appoints new Director

Stonewall is delighted to announce the appointment of Andrew White as Director of Stonewall Cymru. Andrew is currently Head of Health and the Voluntary Sector Unit at the Welsh Language Board.

Ben Summerskill, Stonewall Chief Executive, said: ‘We’re very pleased indeed to have secured someone of Andrew’s background and experience to lead our work across Wales.’

Andrew White said: ‘Since its creation in 2003, Stonewall Cymru has gained a significant place in the public space in Wales. I look forward to building on that work and helping to celebrate Stonewall Cymru’s first decade of achievements in 2013.’

Stonewall Cymru campaigns across Wales in areas such as homophobic bullying in schools, health and community safety. It also advises employers on the recruitment and retention of lesbian, gay and bisexual staff. Andrew will join the charity in November and takes over from Stonewall Cymru’s current director Liz Morgan. Prior to joining the Welsh Language Board, Andrew worked for TMP Worldwide as Wales Business Development Manager
