Lloyds Banking Group scrutinise their sexual orientation monitoring data every six months to ensure their staff represent their customer base. Data collected at application, appointment, and during employment through self-service declaration enables the organisation to closely monitor all employment processes including promotions, performance management, exits and staff engagement making comparisons to straight colleagues.
Information is regularly reported to the Group Executive Committee and presented to the diversity working group of each business division every quarter. Each working group is responsible for cascading information about plans and measurements for their division to their teams. As part of a diversity and inclusion event with the group’s insurance division, information on the sexual orientation make-up of the organisation and issues identified through monitoring exercises were presented to staff throughout the division.
