Thanks, Dad!

Diolch Dad

To celebrate gay dads, and the role dads play in gay people’s lives, we’re running a daily competition until Father’s Day (17 June) with support from Charlie Condou, a father-of-two who has played the gay dad role in real life and as a Coronation Street actor. Each day one lucky winner will receive a fab ‘Some People Are Gay. Get Over It!’ t-shirt, and on 17 June – Fathers’ Day – the best story overall will win two VIP passes to this Year’s Iris Prize Film Festival. Charlie Condou will and Stonewall Cymru Director, Andrew White will select and name the winner on Fathers’ Day.

Iris editTo enter, all you need to do is tell us how your dad supports you as a lesbian, gay or bisexual person. Dads can enter too, to talk about being a gay dad or supporting a gay child.

Either upload a YouTube film about your story (no longer than 90 seconds) and send us a link on Facebook or Twitter. Please share your story with your friends on social media, and make sure you use the hashtag #ThanksDad – we can’t consider your entry if we don’t know about it!

While you’re thinking about what to say, why not order some of Stonewall’s Father’s Day cards as well? They’re free, and a great way to show your support for Stonewall.

Stonewall has a huge range of resources about parenting. If you need more information, call our InfoLine on 08000 50 20 20.
