Some of the resources explore the issues facing Black and Minority Ethnic LGBT people. “In the Family 2 – Celebrating the Builders of Black Communities” – Big Up@ GMFA The aim of the report is to acknowledge and celebrate the positive contribution of Black lesbian and gay people to the culture and history of both Black people in the UK. "The Low Down. Black Lesbians, Gay Men and Bisexual People Talk About Their Experience and Needs" - GALOP 2001 This report is part of GALOP's Black Services Development Project focusing on the Asian, African and Caribbean LGB communities' experiences of violence. "Performance guidelines on the duty to promote race equality in Scotland" - CRE 2002 The amended Race Relations Act gives public authorities a new statutory duty to promote race equality. The Commission for Racial Equality has produced a series of guides which aim to raise awareness of new statutory requirements. "The Irish In Britain" - CRE 1997 This report explores the situation of Irish people in the UK and includes recommendations for challenging anti-Irish racism. "Stereotyping and Racism - Findings from two attitude surveys" - CRE 1998 This report explores public perceptions and attitudes to race, ethnicity, racism and race relations. "A Very Light Sleeper - The Persistance and Dangers of Antisemitism" - Runnymede Trust 1997 This report documents the historical persistence of antisemitism in British society and culture. Its review of events and trends in Britain is located within the wider context of European history. CARF - Campaign Against Racism and Fascism online magazine CARF is Britain's only independent anti-racist magazine, documenting resistance against racism - from black and refugee organisations, monitoring groups, anti-deportation campaigns, football fans, and much more. The articles available on this website are just a small sample of what's in the CARF magazine, which is published bimonthly in the UK. Searchlight Magazine online Searchlight's aim is to combat racism, neo-nazism, fascism and all forms of prejudice. The magazine was first published in 1975 and has been tracking and covering the activities of the far right, racist and fascist movements across the UK and Europe. BLINK - Black Information Link BLINK is the interactive web site of The 1990 Trust and provides essential information on issues affecting the African, Asian and Caribbean communities in the United Kingdom and Europe. The 1990 Trust supports and promotes Racial Justice, Equity and Sustainable Development and aims to maximise the use of BLINK as an informative and consultative mechanism for links with Black communities.
