The first is a qualitative study which provides an in-depth, contemporary account of gay men’s understandings and experiences of HIV testing in Scotland. The second is a quantitative study built upon the qualitative findings, and provides data from a larger, more representative sample of gay men recruited through commercial gay venues in Glasgow and Edinburgh. These studies provide a valuable insight into men’s experiences and understanding of HIV testing in Scotland, and the complexity of their responses to managing HIV. "20 Things the Government can do to improve the lives of people with HIV" - Terrence Higgins Trust 2002 In their 20th anniversary year, Terrence Higgins Trust put together this report which outlines 20 things that the government could do to make the lives of people with HIV in the UK better.
