This includes information about issues facing women and transgender people. “Identifying the difficulties experienced by Muslim lesbian, bisexual and transgender women in accessing social and legal services” – SAFRA Project 2003 This report aims to highlight the needs of Muslim LBT women for better access to appropriate social and legal services. Lesbian Information Service The Lesbian Information Service website is an excellent source of information, reports, articles and research on issues facing lesbians. “Transgender Equality - A Handbook for Activists and Policymakers” – NGLTF (US) 2000 Although written within the context of US state legislation, this is stil an invaluable resource guide, providing an introduction to transgender issues, talking points, responses to frequently asked questions, and a comprehensive resource listing and bibliography. “The White Book” – Stephen Whittle This publication aims to enable female to male transsexual and transgender people (including those who are exploring whether they are female to male) and their families and friends, to get to grips with many of the difficult issues that trans men have to face. This is a guide book for living – not hiding. “Respect and Equality – Transsexual and Transgender Rights” – Stephen Whittle 2002 This book argues that current law does not adequately provide for transgender people and calls for respect and equality before the law. Theoretical discussions of sex, sexuality, gender and law, and an extensive range of primary and secondary research materials, are combined to provide an insightful analysis into the inadequacies of current law. The book combines analysis of up-to-date national and international statute and case law with practical examples of successful affidavits. It takes account of the most recent legal developments in the field, including: Goodwin and I v UK Government, European Court of Human Rights B v NHS Pension Trusts, European Court of Justice Bellinger v Bellinger, and House of Lords A v Chief Constable of West Yorkshire Police, Court of Appeal. "Women and the Human Rights Act Conference Report" - Rights of Women 2000 This report presents the key findings from the Unison and Rights of Women conference on the Human Rights Act, exploring how the introduction of this legislation impacts on the lives of women. "Facts about women and men in Scotland 2003" - Equal Opportunities Commission 2003 This report, produced annually presents key statistics in education and training employment equal pay public and political life and work/life balance. The F-Word The F-Word is a website updated monthly containing features, reviews, and other stuff, with a feminist slant, written by, and aimed at the UK's young feminists. Women's Human Rights Net WHRNET provides comprehensive information and analysis on women's human rights and global issues. Feminist.com Feminist.com is a grassroots, interactive community by, for and about women. They aim to facilitate information-sharing among women and encourage mobilisation around political issues. Glasgow Women's Library Glasgow Women's Library is a key provider of information about and for women. It operates a range of services, staffed by paid and volunteer workers, including a cuttings service, research consultancy, newsletter and a lending library resource.
