The different aspects of our identity are a source of pride and strength.

However, they can also make us the target of prejudice on more than one level. For example, a Black gay man might experience homophobia from some parts of the Black community, racism from some parts of the LGBT community, and racism and homophobia from everyone else!

Beyond Barriers is committed not only to challenging discrimination and prejudice, but we aim to provide you with the tools to challenge bigotry in your local community.
