What the group does:

The Volunteer Centre Edinburgh exists to involve more people more effectively in volunteering to help solve real problems and enrich communities. They aim to do this by encouraging people to engage in voluntary work, providing a focus for voluntary activity, promoting and developing volunteering opportunities, encouraging and supporting good practice in involving volunteers. They have a wide range of resources for organisations interested in involving volunteers and a database of organisations offering volunteering opportunities.
