Role of a senior sponsor

Senior leaders play a critical role in creating gay-friendly workplaces. Their involvement can transform the culture of an organisation and the workplace experience of both gay and straight staff. However, straight allies in senior leadership positions can be unsure of what they can do to make this a reality. Similarly some lesbian, gay and bisexual colleagues may be unsure of the role a senior sponsor should play.
